How you feel is health data too. A two tap mood rating and a few honest lines each day help you notice a slide early, and give you something concrete to talk about with your therapist or doctor.
Log your mood
There are no wrong answers. Rate it the way it feels, not the way you think it should feel.
- Tap Check-in, then Mood.
- Under How are you? pick a point on the scale, from Terrible through Okay and Good to Amazing.
- Tap the feelings that fit, like Calm, Hopeful, Anxious, Tired or Overwhelmed. Pick as many as you need.
- Tap Save Check-in.
Write in your journal
Your journal sits inside your health record, so your words land next to the symptoms and doses from the same day.
- Tap Check-in, then Journal.
- Write freely, or pick a prompt such as Acceptance, Anxiety or Awareness. CareClinic Premium adds more prompts, including the 5 Minute Journal, and lets you save your own with Add Custom Prompt.
- Save the entry with your check-in.
Ideas for a hard day
- What is one thing that went better than I expected?
- What is taking most of my energy right now?
- What would I tell a friend who felt like this?
See how your mood moves
After a few weeks you can see what lifts you and what drags you down, like short nights or a missed dose.
- Tap Insights, then the Mood chip.
- Compare Mood with Sleep or Medications to see whether they move together.
- Open Timeline to reread your journal entries by date.
Tip Log your mood at the same time each day, like after dinner. A steady time makes the weekly pattern much easier to read.
Common questions
Can I log my mood more than once a day?
Yes. Check in whenever your mood shifts. Each entry keeps its own time on your Timeline.
Who can read my journal?
Your journal stays in your CareClinic account. People on your Care Team only see what the sharing options you chose for them allow.
Is this a good mood tracker for bipolar disorder or depression?
Many people use it that way. Mood, sleep and medications logged together help you and your doctor spot early changes, and the Timeline gives a clear record for appointments.
