Caregiver App: Add Your Care Team in CareClinic

CareClinic › Getting Started › Care Team

Health is rarely managed alone. Add the people who help you, like a partner, a parent, a nurse or your doctor, and choose exactly what each one can see and do. It works from both sides: share your care, or follow someone who shares theirs with you.

Open your Care Team

  1. Tap More, then the gear icon at the top, and switch on Care Team if it is off.
  2. On Today, tap the Care Team card.
  3. Switch between Circle, Dependents and Caregivers at the top.

Add a caregiver

Share only what helps them help you. You can widen it later.

  1. Tap Add Caregiver and enter their full name.
  2. Add their email or username if they use CareClinic, so they can see your reports and log for you. Skip it to save them as a contact only.
  3. Pick your relationship: Caregiver, Doctor, Family or Other.
  4. Choose what to share, then save. The free plan includes up to 3 caregivers, and CareClinic Premium removes the limit.

Care Plans

See what you track and take.

Reports & Notifications

See your reports and hear about your progress.

Allow Check-Ins

Log doses or symptoms for you.

Allow Editing

Change items in your care plan.

Allow Deleting Care Plan Items

Remove items from your plan.

Tip Start small. Share Reports & Notifications first, and add Allow Check-Ins later if the person will actually log doses or symptoms for you.

Accept an invite and follow someone's care

  1. When someone adds you as their caregiver, the invite appears in your Care Team with Accept and Decline.
  2. After you accept, they appear under Dependents. Open them to follow their care plan and reports, within the access they gave you. Viewing their Timeline or Insights also needs CareClinic Premium on your own account.

Check in for a dependent you care for

When you help a parent, a partner or a child with their care, you can log their doses and symptoms in their own record, so their doctor sees one complete history.

  1. Open your Care Team, tap Dependents and tap the person you look after.
  2. Tap Check-In. CareClinic switches to their profile, and a Switch Back bar stays at the top so you always know whose record you are in.
  3. Log their medications, symptoms or anything else on their behalf, and tap Save Check-in.
  4. Need to change what they track? Tap Edit Care Plan on their page instead.
  5. When you are done, tap Switch Back to return to your own account.

Tip Check-In works when they turned on Allow Check-Ins for you, and Edit Care Plan needs Allow Editing. If a button says Permission Denied, ask them to change your access in their Care Team.

Change access any time

  1. Open the person in your Care Team.
  2. Choose Edit Access to change what they can see and do, or remove them from your team.

Common questions

Does my caregiver need a CareClinic account?

Only if they should see your reports or log entries. Without an account, they are saved as a contact with their details for quick reference.

Can I add my doctor?

Yes. Choose Doctor as the relationship and add their office details. Share reports with them if they use CareClinic, or bring a PDF report to your visit.

Can a caregiver see my journal?

Caregivers see only what the sharing options you chose for them allow. Check or change them any time with Edit Access.
