Insights turns your check-ins into answers: whether your symptoms are easing, how you are really sleeping, and how often your medications go in on time. The more days you log, the more it can show you about yourself.
Before you start
- Log at least a week of check-ins. A pattern needs a few days on each side of a change.
Open Insights and pick a topic
- Tap Insights in the bottom bar.
- Swipe the row of chips and tap a topic: Care Score, Medications, Symptoms, Mood, Sleep, Factors, your measurements and more.
- Tap the date range at the top left, such as 7d. CareClinic Premium lets you switch to 28 days or longer.
Read your charts
Medications
Switch between Frequency, Adherence and Time. Scheduled, Skipped and Missed add it up below.
Symptoms
Each symptom gets its own line, so you can see which ones are easing.
Measurements
Your latest reading, your range, your average and the change over the period.
Sleep
Time asleep and quality, with Sleep Efficiency and Sleep Consistency under Trends.
A chart is easier to read when you hide what you are not looking at.
- Tap a name in the legend under a chart to hide it and focus on the rest.
- Scroll below the chart for the summary numbers.
Compare two trackers on one chart
The question that matters is often "did my pain change after I started the new medication?" Putting two trackers over the same dates answers it at a glance.
- Under a chart, find the Compare row. It lists your other trackers that have entries in the same period.
- Tap one, such as Sleep on your Symptoms chart or Medications on your Mood chart. The two now sit side by side on one chart, day by day.
- Tap More at the end of the row to choose from every tracker you log.
The example shows a combined medication and symptom chart, followed by selected Impacts results. These patterns show association, not cause.
See your trends over time
One bad day tells you little. Trends shows the shape of many days, such as whether headaches cluster in the evening or flare at the same time each month.
- In Insights, scroll below a chart to Trends.
- Tap a view. For symptoms you will find views such as Severity by time, Severity by day, Severity by month and Flares.
- Tap View All to see every trend view for that tracker, and change the dates at the top to look further back.
Look for triggers with Impacts
Impacts looks at what tends to come before a change, such as a missed dose, a short night or a hard workout, so you can see which habits help you and which ones cost you.
- Scroll below a chart to Impacts and tap View All.
- The question at the top reads like a sentence: How Medications impacts Symptoms on the Same Day. Tap either part and use Select Item to change what you are looking at.
- Tap Which Day? and choose Same Day, Next Day or up to +4 Days, because some effects show up later. After your first 3 days, Impacts is part of CareClinic Premium.
- Each result shows whether one thing Increases or Decreases the other. Scroll to Chart Comparisons to see them drawn together.
See every day on the Calendar
A calendar makes a run of bad days easy to spot, and it answers "when did this start?" in seconds at an appointment.
- At the bottom of a chart card, tap Calendar. Timeline beside it shows the same entries as a list.
- Each day is shaded by how it went: Mild, Moderate or Severe for symptoms, Taken, Missed or As-needed for medications, and Under Goal, At Goal or Over Goal for anything with a goal.
- Tap All at the top to show a single item, such as one symptom.
- After your first 3 days, the free plan shows the past 7 days, and CareClinic Premium shows your full history. To bring these dates to an appointment, follow the Export and Share guide.
The example shows the Symptoms Calendar with all symptoms and with Headache selected, across different months.
Let Correlations find links for you
You do not have to hunt for every pattern yourself. Correlations points out two things in your records that tend to move together, such as fatigue rising on days you sleep less.
- Tap Timeline, open the filters, expand Records and select Correlations. Correlations is part of CareClinic Premium.
- Each card names the two things you track and whether one goes up or down with the other.
- To hear about new ones, tap More, then Settings, App Settings and Notifications, and check that Correlations is on under Manage Reminders.
The example shows selected existing correlations and the notification setting already on.
Tip A pattern in Insights is a great question to bring to your doctor. Share the chart or bring a report, and look at it together.
Common questions
What can Insights show me?
Charts and summaries for medications, symptoms, mood, sleep, factors, measurements such as blood pressure and weight, stool, fluids, activity and lab biomarkers, plus a Care Score that sums up how your week went.
How much data do I need?
Charts start with your first entries. Comparisons and Impacts become more useful after a couple of weeks of regular check-ins.
Can I share a chart with my doctor?
Yes. Chart sharing is free for your first 3 days, then part of CareClinic Premium.
Does Insights tell me what is causing my symptoms?
Insights shows what happened together in your own records, such as pain rising after short nights. Bring the pattern to your next appointment to talk it through.
